                                     FROM OAKINGHAM TO SLOUGH STATION
                      The  above  omnibus  leaves  the  Bush  Inn  ,  Oakingham,  every  morning  (Sunday
                   excepted) at 20 min. past 7, for ½-past 7, punctually, Railway time; by the Stag and
                   Hounds, Binfield, 20m. before 8; Bracknell, 10m. before 8; Horse Shoes, Warfield, at
                   8; White Hart and Crispin Inn, Warfield, at  ½-past 8; and Windsor, to the Train which
                   leaves the Slough Station to London at 20m, before 10; and will return to Oakingham
                   daily,  after  the  arrival  of  the  Train  at  Slough,  which  leaves  Paddington  at  twelve
                   o'clock.
                                        Fares—Inside....3s. 6d.; Outside.....2s. 6d.

                   through Windsor Great Park, Englefield Circus, 30m. before 12; Egham, ½-before 12;
                   and  Staines,  at  12;  and  will  return  from  the  Black  Lion,  White  Friars-street  (late
                   Water-lane), Fleet Street, London, daily, at ½-past 2; and Hatchett’s New White Horse
                   Cellar, Piccadilly, at 3 o’clock.

                                               POSTAGE REGULATIONS
                      The “Gazette” of last night contains a Treasury Warrant ‘directing that for the future
                   packages which in length, breadth, or width exceed 24 inches, shall not be forwarded
                   by  the  post  between  any  places  within  the  United  Kingdom,  excepting,  however,
                   petitions  or  addresses  to  her  Majesty,  or  petitions  to  either  House  of  Parliament
                   forwarded  to  any  member  of  either  house,  or  to  printed  votes  or  proceedings  of
                   Parliament,  or  to  letters  to  or  from  any  government  offices  or  departments.  It  also
                   directs that if any letter is sent, or delivered in order to be sent by post between places
                   within the United Kingdom, that the package shall be prepaid in money, or the letter
                   duly stamped. It further orders that all such letters of twenty-four or more inches in
                   dimensions,  or  above  four  ounces  in  weight,  may  be  detained  and  opened,  at  the
                   option of the Postmaster-General, or shall be returned or given up, with a charge of

                   double the amount of postage. This Warrant is dated the 22  of October, 1847, and is
                   signed Richard C. Wood and R.W. Bellew.
