to receive proposals from any person, who desire to have any assurance made in or
                   near the aforesaid county.

                      Last  Friday  night  about  twelve  o’clock,  three  villains  came  to  the  turnpike  at
                   Cobham, Surry, which was kept by Richard Earley, an old man, upwards of eighty
                   years of age, and called the poor man out, under pretence of wanting to go through the
                   gate, As soon as he came out, two of them seized, and threw him down. The old man
                   attempted to call for help, but they held his throat, whilst the other villain rifled the
                   house, and took upwards of forty shillings, and then made off with their booty

                      Saturday one Jon  Andrews, hog killer, at  Wooburn common, out  of bravado, ate
                   five pounds of raw mutton, and six quarts of strong beer, at a public-house, on the said
                   common.—It is a real fact.

                                                                         WOKINGHAM, Feb 22, 1775
                      Whereas some ill-disposed person or persons did on Monday night last, pull off a
                   great  number  of  BRICKS  from  the  bridge,  on  the  turnpike  road  near  the  mill,  on
                   Toutley Common: whoever will discover the person  or persons that  committed the
                   above offence Will, on his, her, or their conviction, receive One Guinea reward, of
                   Mr. Becher, of this town.
                      N.B. If any person concerned in the above offence, will discover his accomplice or
                   accomplices, so that they may be brought to justice, he shall be entitled to the same
                   reward, and a pardon.

                   STOLEN,  about  a  week  since,  from  Tangley’s  Farm,  near  Wokingham,  FAAT
                   WETHER SHEEP, marked with an L in a ring on the near side, and a star on the
                   rump.
                      Whoever  will  give  information  of  the  offender  or  offenders,  shall  receive  ten
                   guineas  reward  on  conviction,  by  applying  to  Mr.  WALLEN,  Woolstapler,  in
                   Wokingham.
                   N.B. If an accomplice, he shall be entitled to the reward,  and not prosecuted.

                   of Wilts, now in the occupation of Mr. James Lodge.
                     Also  a  very  good-accustomed  public-house,  known  by  the  sign  of  the  WHITE-
                   HART, adjoining to the aforesaid Dwelling-House, and now in the occupation of Mr.
