TO BE DISPOSED OF
The lease of a highly desirable TAN YARD and PREMISES, at Wokingham, Berks,
in consequence of the decease, and by the order of the Executor of Mr. ROBERT
JENKINS, the late proprietor. The Tan Yard is in full work, and capable of
manufacturing from 80 to 100 hides a week. A large sum of money has lately been
expended in enlarging the Tan Yard and erecting drying lofts, leather warehouse and
sheds, bark kiln and bark mills, and barns capable of five hundred tons of bark. The
Premises further comprise a comfortable dwelling house, with suitable offices, good
stabling, commodious granary, very productive gardens, a small orchard, and 30 acres
of excellent land adjoining, well watered and in a high state of cultivation, which may
be had either with or without the above premises. The Farming and Tanning Utensils
are very complete. The situation of the Tan Yard offers extraordinary advantages to
the trade, being in the centre of a most productive bark country, within 30 miles of the
London market, with Reading, Windsor, Staines, and other populous towns
sufficiently contiguous to afford at all times an abundant supply of raw goods.—For
particulars, apply to Messrs. Streatfield and Co., Leather Factors, London; or to Mr. J.
Soames, 33 Great Winchester-street, Broad-street, London; or to Mr. Francis Soames,
Solicitor, Wokingham.
