                                        RESULTS OF CHRISTMAS GOODWILL
Members and former members of all Saints’ Choir, Wokingham, performed a most
kindly action on Saturday Afternoon by entertaining to tea and an entertainment 101
children in the Concert Hall of the Wokingham Club. The entertainment had during
the Christmas season sung carols, and as one result of their efforts had presented the
local Clinic with the handsome sum of £25. With a balance, they decided upon the
treat to the children. Ladies who assisted at the tables were Mesdames T. May, G.
Holloway, G.H. Breach, J. Liddiard and J. Liddiard, jun., and the Misses House.
Members of the carol party were Messrs. T. May, G.H. Breach, F.W. Evans, G.

                                        DEATH OF MR. CHARLES HUCKINGS
Much regret is felt at the death of Mr. Charles Huckings at his residence, 14,
Langborough Road, Wokingham, on Wednesday, at the advanced age of 86 years.
Some 50 years back the late Mr. Huckings came to Wokingham from Camberley, and
was for ten years in the employ of the late Mr. Thomas Manley Wescott at the Saw
Mills, Peach Street. He was a skilled carpenter and joiner. He married the daughter of
the proprietor of the glass and china store, 39, Market Place, where he resided for
several years. In his younger days he was a local preacher for the Wesleyans. He did
not take further part in public life except that for some years he was (in the company
with the present Captain Caiger) a member of the Wokingham Volunteer Fire
Brigade. During the past few years he had retired from active work, and his familiar
figure will be much missed. Mrs. Huckings survives him, with their complete family
of two sons and four daughters. The funeral is to take place on Tuesday at All saints.
