                                          FUTURE OF BILL HILL MANSION
Bill Hill Mansion, Wokingham, has been sold to Mr. Peter Oldfield, of Farley Hill.
The land, comprising some 290 acres, will be used by Mr. Oldfield for farming, and
he intends to specialise in beef-producing Aberdeen Angus and Galloway herds. The
centre of the mansion is being restored to some of its former beauty and will be used
for Mr. Oldfield’s personal residence. The wings are being completely changed to a
modern style and are expected to be used for the farm workers. The estate and
mansion was sold in fifteen lots, the residence itself being under a reserve price of
£3,500.There are well over 100 acres of wooded parkland on the estate, also Bill-Hill
                   Lodge and the Keeper’s Cottage.
