                                             THIS WEEK AT THE CINEMA
Have you ever seen or heard of poker-playing, whiskey-drinking sixth-form girls? If
not, you will certainly have the chance next week, when “The Pure Hell of St.
Trinian’s” is shown at The Ritz, Wokingham, Wokingham, on Monday, for six days.
Their latest escapade—burning down the school—lands the whole schoolgirl
contingent into the Old Bailey. A universal sigh of relief is expressed but changes to
horror when they are discharged. Flash Harry (George Cole) again features, but this
time it is the Greek Islands which suffer, when the girls embark on a “cultural” tour.
They are accompanied by Sergt. Ruby Gates (Joyce Grenfell)—in love with her
superior (Lloyd Lamble)—who is supposed to keep a chaperon eye on them. Also
showing is “Ski Troop Attack,” the story of an American wartime ski patrol in
Germany, who are cut off behind the German lines, and the furious battle which
                   ensues.
