Christmas morning each patient received a Christmas card, given by Mrs. Young of
Twyford. Morning service in the chapel was conducted by the Rev. P.J.H. Scott and

roast beef, chicken, beer and Christmas pudding, etc., the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr.

generosity of Miss Huggins, of Twyford, who had once more forwarded a shilling for
each patient. A visit from Santa Claus after tea was made possible the generosity of a
                   local firm.
