WOKINGHAM, Oct. 28, 1780
MR. TAPLIN, (to attain a proficiency in the Science and Practice of MIDWIFERY)
finding his constant and requisite attendance at the Lying-Inn Hospital, and Private
Lectures, will render his residence in London till Christmas, a matter of indispensible
necessity, has delegated to Mr. Swan, (Mr. Wheeler’s late assistant) the power of
officiating in his SHOP, during that period; but humbly hopes his temporary absence,
on so pressing an occasion, will not (at his return) deprive him of a continuation of
those favours he has already so largely and liberally experienced.
