Goodchild of Wokingham, or in case of his death, inability, refusal, or default, James
                              Weeks of Wokingham shall perform the duties of the Mayor and the Assessors for
                              revising the Burgess List, and the separate list of persons qualified to be Councillors;
                              and William Goodchild of Wokingham, or in case of his death, inability,  refusal, or
                              default, James Weeks of Wokingham shall perform the duties of the Mayor and
                              Aldermen respectively as Returning Officer, and of the Mayor as Summoner of the
                              first meeting of the Council, and of the Mayor or Chairman of the Meeting for the
                              election of the Mayor, Aldermen, Town Clerk, and Treasurer: And the said persons
                              shall be substituted in the Municipal Corporations Act, l882, for the said Town Clerk,
                              Mayor, Assessors, Aldermen, and Chairman respectively, so far as relates to the
                              matters aforesaid; and
                              (C) The first election of Councillors shall take place on the second day of November
                              one thousand eight hundred and eighty five and the first meeting of the Council of
                              the Borough shall be held on the ninth day of November One thousand eight hundred
                              and eighty five:

                       (6)    The  years  and  days  specified  in  the  Second  Schedule  to  these  Presents  shall  be  the
                       years and days for the retirement of the first Alderman and Councillors who shall retire in
                       the manner and at the times therein designated.

                       ( 7 ) Subject to these Presents and the schedules thereto and the provisions and directions  in
                       the  second  Schedule  thereto  the  Provisions  of  the Municipal  Corporations  Act,  1882  shall
                       apply to the determination of the qualifications of the first Burgesses the making out, signing
                       delivering  inspection  completion  publication  commencement  and  continuance  of  the  first
                       Burgess Lists and Burgess Rolls, the claims objections and determinations with regard to the
                       first  Burgess  Lists  or  Rolls,  the  holding  adjournments  and  decisions  of  the  first  Revision
                       Courts,  the  nominations  elections  and  continuance  in  office  of  the  first  Mayor  Alderman
                       Councillors Auditors and Assessors, the appointment and continuance in office of the first
                       Town Clerk and Treasurer, the first meeting and quarterly meeting of the Town Council, and
                       all matters and things touching and concerning the above and the dates and times in the   said
                       Act mentioned shall be the dates and times on at during within or for which the   matters
                       aforesaid and the various acts in relation thereto shall take place be done be estimated or be
                       calculated.

                                                   FIRST SCHEDULE.

               METES [Boundaries specified by distance and direction] AND BOUNDS OF BOROUGH.

               All  those  parts  of  the  Parish  of  Wokingham  in  the  County  of  Berks  comprised  within  a  line
               commencing  at  the  centre  of  the  bridge  over  the  Emms  Brook,  on  the  road  from  Wokingham  to
               Finchampstead; thence in a North-Westerly direction along the left Bank of the said Brook to a point
               opposite the North-Western corner of field numbered 465 on the Tithe Map of the said Parish; thence
               along the North side of fields numbered 465, 460, and 461, to the North-Eastern corner of the last-
               mentioned field ; thence in a Northerly direction along the Eastern side of field numbered 459 to its
               North-Eastern corner, and thence in a North-Easterly direction across the road along the Northern side
               of fields Nos. 479 and 482 to the North-Eastern corner of the last mentioned field; thence across the
               road from Wokingham to Reading by the Southern corner of fields Nos. 220 and 229 across the South
               Eastern Railway ; along the South side of fields Nos. 207, 208 and 210, thence across the road from
               Wokingham to Twyford and along the South side of fields Nos 189, 1601, 1598, to the North- Eastern
               corner of the fields last mentioned; thence along the Eastern side of field No. 1598 aforesaid, across
               the road and along the Northern and Eastern sides of fields Nos. 1569 and 1570; thence along the
               Eastern side of field No. 1572, the Northern and Eastern sides of field No. 1576, and the Eastern side
               of  field  No.  1575  to  the  South  Eastern  corner  of  the  last  mentioned  field  ;  thence  in  an  Easterly
