CYCLISTS CLUB
A special general meeting of the members was held in the Club Rooms, Peach-
street, on Thursday evening, to consider a letter which had been received from the
landlord stating notice to the club to quit the premises. The Hon. Sec. (Mr. S.C.
Ducrocq) read the correspondence between the landlord (the Rev. E. Sturges) and
himself, and reported that the Club Committee had decided to accept the notice
subject to the approval of the members. A vote of confidence in the committee and the
approval of this action were proposed by Mr. H. Goswell and seconded by Mr. W.
Scribbins, and carried unanimously. It was also decided to send a formal reply to the
Rev. E. Sturges informing him of the decision of the committee. The Rev. H. Last, at
the urgent wish of the members, took the chair.
