                                        NET PROCEEDS OF ST. PAUL’S FETE
                      Mr. A.E. Jennings, fete hon. secretary, announces the gross takings as £144 10s. 5d.,
                   with expenses £17 1s. 7d., the net profit for the funds being £127 8s. 10d.


                                         ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL ANNUAL TRIP
                      Scholars of St. Paul’s went by motor on Friday last week to London for their annual
                   trip. Mr. R. Bagley (head master) was with the party, who visited South Kensington
                   Museum and The Zoo.

                                          KING GEORGE’S JUBILEE TRUST
                      The  Mayor  of  Wokingham  has  received  the  following  additional  donations:  Flag
                   day  collection,  £19  3s.  4d.;  Staff  and  girls  of  the  “Holt”  County  School,  £6;  Miss
                   Eccles, £1; total received to date, £229 9s. 9d.

                                           ST. PAUL’S CHOIR EXCURSION
                      The annual choir excursion of St. Paul’s took place on Saturday. The venue being
                   Worthing. Mr. F.A. Burgess accompanied the party. Tea was partaken of at “The Mu
                   Dor” café. Mr. A.E. Priest, churchwarden, presented each choirboy with a shilling to
                   spend.

                                              PALMER SCHOOL OUTING
                      Scholars of the Palmer School took part in their annual outing on Friday last week,
                   when they journeyed by motor-coach to London, the itinerary comprising the Science
                   museum, South Kensington, St. Paul’s Cathedral and The Zoo. Mr. H.F. Maidment
                   (head master) accompanied the large party, and the outing was greatly appreciated.

                                        BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL OUTING
                      Scholars of the Baptist School participated in their annual treat on Saturday, when a
                   party,  with  Mr.  G.  Hall  in  charge,  journeyed  by  S.R.  to  Bognor,  on  a  half-day
                   excursion,  leaving  Wokingham  at  11  a.m.  and  arriving  at  1.30  p.m..  Home  was
                   reached at 9.15 p.m. Tea was partaken of at “The Highbury” Tea Gardens, Bognor.
                   The sea was too rough for trips, but the afternoon was fine till past tea time.

                                             THE LATE MR. JAMES MOSS
                                            Former Wokingham Head Master
                      There passed away at his residence, 1, Crescent Road, Wokingham, on Friday last
                   week, a well-known and respected resident of Wokingham Mr. James Moss, who, on

                   May 28  1885, came to Wokingham (from East Hagbourne School) as head master of
                   St. Paul’s Church of England School, a position he held with distinguished ability for
                   36 years till his retirement at Christmas, 1931. He succeeded Mr. Babbage, and his
