that they are determined neither to pay or receive the same, as there is a total stop to
their passing in London.
As Halfpence were not intended to, or meant for payment, but as only as a
convenience for change, it is requested that overseers will not pay their POOR;
manufacturers their workmen; farmers, stewards, or others their servants, as those
who take them will not have an opportunity of disposing of the same.

WOKINGHAM STAGE WAGGON
RICHARD CREAKER, at the Ship, Wokingham, Wilts, begs leave to inform his
friends and the public in general, that he has purchased the above Waggon, which will
continue to set out from the Ship every Tuesday morning at ten o’clock, to the
Saracen’s Head, Friday-street, London; from whence it returns every Wednesday
morning at ten o’clock, and for the convenience of gentlemen who reside at Binfield,
goods are taken in at the Stag and Hounds, the Jack of Newbury, and the Shoulder of
Mutton; likewise calls at the Bull, Bracknall; and stops at the New White Horse
Cellar, and at the Black Bear, Piccadilly, going in and coming out of London. Hopes
by a strict attention to the above business to gain the patronage and approbation of his
friends and the public in general.

WOKINGHAM, Berks, April 13 , 1782
Lost, last night, supposed to be stolen from a ground of Silas Baggs, A BLACK
MARE, aged, about 14 hands high, betwixt saddle and kind, blind of the near eye, and
a little white on the off leg behind. Also, a BLACK COLT, two years old, about 14
hands high, with a bald face, white on the near leg before, and white on the off leg
behind up to the hock.
Whoever will give information, so that the mare and colt may be had again, or the
offender or offenders, brought to justice, shall receive one guinea reward of the said.
