                             On Tuesday the 10  of June, (unless disposed before of by private contract)
                          at Mr. Chaplin’s, the New Rose Inn in Wokingham between the hours of two
                          and five in the afternoon, according to conditions of sale which will be there
                          produced, in three lots.
                          Lot I. TWO PIECES OF ARABLE LAND, called Manerrings, containing by
                          estimation, nine acres and ONE PIECE of MEADOW GROUND adjoining,
                          containing by estimation five acres, situate and being near the end of Coppid
                          Beech Lane in the Parish of Wokingham, and very near the turnpike  road.
                          Lot II ONE PIECE OF ARABLE LAND, called the Roundabout, containing
                          by estimation three acres, situate and being near Lot I, but nearer the town of
                          Wokingham.
                          Lot  III  ONE  PIECE  OF  ARABLE  LAND,  called  Ham  Hill,  containing  by
                          estimation four acres, situate near Hones Green in the parish of Wokingham.
                          N.B.  All  the  above  premises  are  freehold  well  forested  with  fine  growing
                          timber, and are greatly underlett to Mr. Thomas Britton  of Wokingham.

                          aforesaid.

                          Mon 2  June
                                                           RINGING
                             To be given at J. Pocock’s the Six Bells, Wokingham, SEVEN HATS, to
                          that Set that rings the best Round Peal of 15 minutes, and that Set that rings
                          the second best is entitled to Seven pair of Gloves, and the third, Ribbons. No
                          Wokingham nor Hurst man allowed to ring, not stand umpire.  No prizes will
                          be given without five sets ring. No set to ring but what dines at the ordinary,
                          which will be ready precisely at one o’clock, and to begin ringing at four. No
                          trial peal on the day of ringing, which will be on Whitsun-Wednesday next.

                                                     MUSICAL MEETING

                             On  Thursday,  the  3   of  July,  1783,  will  be  held  at  the  Town  Hall  in
                          Wokingham. A Musical Meeting, where there will be given by Mr. Watkins at
                          the Old Rose Inn, (Mr. Wheatley’s in the Market-place)
                             A SILVER CUP,  of five guineas  value to  that company of singers  which
                          best performs three Glees of Songs, in three or four parts, and three catches,
                          each  company  to  bring  their  umpires  as  the  above  is  to  be  decided  by  the
                          majorities of umpires. No less than two companies to sing for the above cup.
                             Likewise will be given a handsome silver PUNCH LADLE, of One Guinea
                          value,, for the person who best performs three Solo Songs or  Cantatas set to
                          music; to be decided by the majority of umpires. No less than two persons to
                          sing for the Ladle. No objection to instruments to accompany the singers.
                             Ladle  Ordinary  will  be  on  the  table  at  two  ‘clock,  and  no  person  to  be
                          admitted to sing but what dines at the ordinary and declares for singing before
                          they go to Hall, which will be at three o’clock. No Wokingham person to be
                          admitted to sing or to be an umpire.
                          N.B. Tickets to be had of Mr. Watkins at 1s each.
