Head Burgesses aforesaid of the Town for the time being That then the
said Alderman & such of the other Head Burgesses & Secondary

The manner of Burgesses of the said Town which upon publick removal in that part first
chooseing others made & had shall be assembled in some convenient place within the
aforesaid Town or the greater part of them assembled may have ability to

choose & authorize one or more of the better & honester Secondary
Burgesses of the said Town into the place or places of the Head Burgess or

Burgesses so deceased or removed from his or their place or places to fill
up the aforesaid number of seven Head Burgesses of the aforesaid Town &
Capital Burgesses that he or they so chosen & authorized hold & exercise that or those place

to take an Oath or places unto which he or they shall be so chosen authorized & sworn by a
Corporall Oath to be taken first before the Aldermen of the said Town or

before the Head Burgesses of that Borough or some or one of them to
execute that Office uprightly well & faithfully so long as he or they shall
behave him or them selves well in that place And that the aforesaid Head

Burgesses by us (as is aforesaid) appointed & in these presents above
named & every of them before he be admitted to execute the place of a
head Burgess of the Town aforesaid they & every of them shall take a

Corporall Oath before the Alderman for the time being to assist the
aforesaid Alderman faithfully from time to time in the business of the said
Secondary Town & the good Government of the people of that Town And if any one

burgesses or more of the Secondary Burgesses of the said Town for the time being
removeable & the shall dye or shall be removed from his or their place which Secondary

manner of it Burgesses or any one or more of them not behaveing himself or their
selves well in their place Wee will have to be displaceable at the discretion
of the Alderman of the said Town & the greater part of the said Head

The manner of Burgesses & the other Secondary Burgesses of the Town for the time being
chooseing others that then & so often it may well & shall be lawfull for Alderman & the
head burgesses & the other Secondary Burgesses of that Town for the time

being which shall be assembled in some convenient place within the
aforesaid Town as is aforesaid to choose & authorise one or more of the
better & honester inhabitants of that Town in the place or places of that or

Secondary those Secondary Burgesses so dead or displaced to fill up the abovesaid
Burgesses to take number of twelve Secondary Burgesses of the aforesaid Town And that he

an Oath or they so chosen or authorised shall take a Corporall Oath before the
Alderman of the said town for the time being or before the Head Burgesses
