neighbourhood, which for the convenience of sale are removed to an empty
                          house  on  the  north  side  of  the  Market-place,  Wokingham;  comprising
                          mahogany dining, card, and other tables,  a very neat
                          Cellaret  brass  hooped,  chests  of  drawers,  and  chairs  in  mahogany,  Wilton
                          carpets, stove grates, &c. sundry useful kitchen articles, &c. a chicken coop,
                          meat safes, &c. also a complete set of brewing utensils, viz, a copper with a
                          cock  that  will  boil  off  about  60  gallons,  a  mash  tub,  underback,  wort  tubs,
                          coolers,  wort  pumps,  beer  pipes,  butts,  hogsheads,  &c.  &c..  The  above
                          brewing tackle is in very good condition.
                             To be viewed the day preceding and morning of sale, which will begin at 12
                          o’clock.

                                                 WOKINGHAM, July 16, 1784
                             JOHN PHELP, who is both deaf and dumb, by trade’s carpenter aged about
                          fifty-five  years,  wore  his  own  grey  hair,  middle  sited  but  rather  thin,  very
                          cleanly dressed in a coat of light colour and has not been seen in Wokingham,
                          his usual place of abode, for the space of two months past.
                             If  any  person  can  give  intelligence  to  Martha  Pierce  of  Wokingham,
                          whereby she may be satisfied what  is  become of the said  John  Phelp,  such
                          intelligence will be thankfully received and acknowledged by the said Martha
                          Pierce.

                          Begs leave to inform the Nobility, Gentry, and public in general, that he has
                          taken  the  ROSE  INN,  n  the  MARKET-PLACE,  WOKINGHAM,  Berks,
                          which he has completely fitted up for the reception for those who shall please
                          to honour him with their company, which he will be ever careful to merit, by
                          providing the very best accommodation of every kind

                          To br LETT and entered upon at Michaelmas next, A FARM, situate in the
                          parish of Wokingham in the counties of Berks and Wilts; consisting of a farm-
                          house, two barns, stable, and other accessory out-buildings (all in good repair)
                          good yard and garden and about 50 acres of arable and pasture land lying very
                          near the turnpike road, about one mile from the town of Wokingham, and for
                          the accommodation of a tenant, 22 acres of arable land lying near the said farm
                          may be had with it, if required—The stock and crop upon the ground may be
                          taken immediately at a fair valuation.
